Jeffrey Hart grew up in Northeast Florida where at a very young age, without even knowing it, he was preparing for the rest of his life. Jeffrey used to borrow his Father’s VHS camcorder and would shoot short films with his friends. Jeffrey’s first Directing debut came when he was 14 years old when he and his friends shot a 9 minute James Bond themed short. This was his first shoot that incorporated multiple cameras, special effects, and a full cast and crew. It was during these early years that Jeffrey had fallen in love with the art of film making.
At the same time, Jeffrey was also taking theater and television production classes. He continued to study theater and production through-out his Middle and High school years. It was during High school, where Jeffrey started spending all his free time either acting, shooting, or editing. He became a member of the International Thespian society where he won the highest award given to an actor in the state of Florida. When he wasn’t on stage, he was in the control room designing special lighting affects for the High school plays and shows. He also was very active in the school’s Television production department. So, by his Junior year he was one of the leaders for the schools weekly T.V. production. However, it wasn’t until his Senior year when he was presented with one of the many milestones in his life. He was elected president of his Thespian club, where he led a troupe of 75+ members. That would not be the last time he would lead. During this same year he also released his first racing video.
Soon after graduating High School, Jeffrey enrolled at a local college in Jacksonville, Florida where he continued to study theater and film making. After not agreeing with his professors and their methods of teaching he decided to no longer study theater and film production. He had finally hit a wall. It was at this time that he started taking more interest in business and law. After two years of business and law classes Jeffrey had finally graduated with a pre-law degree. From there, he applied and was accepted to Florida State University. He packed his car and headed to Tallahassee, Florida for FSU’s new student orientation.
It was a Friday night and orientation was Saturday morning, with classes starting Monday. Jeffrey arrived in Tallahassee late Friday night where he met up with Sean, a childhood friend who he had made movies with. That night something happened to Jeffrey that would change his life forever…
Jeffrey never made it to orientation; instead, after talking with Sean and remembering how much they enjoyed shooting short films, Jeffrey made a bold decision and decided not to attend FSU. The next morning he awoke to his parent’s shock of seeing him back home instead of at orientation. Jeffrey didn’t want a 9-5 job, and didn’t want to regret not chasing his dream. His parents were reluctant, but eventually they agreed and supported his direction.
In December of 2007 Jeffrey took a tour of Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida. It was a film school that was very hands on. He was blown away by the campus, classes and state of the art equipment. As a result, he started classes March of 2008. While at Full Sail he learned all aspects of film making which has made him successful today.
October 31st. 2009, Jeffrey graduated From Full Sail University with a bachelor of Film degree.
Just one month after graduating he directed his first music video.
January 1st. 2010 he moved to Los Angeles. Since he has been in Los Angeles he has directed multiple music videos, television shows, short films, and commercials. He has worked on some of the biggest commercials we all see on television, as well as blockbuster movies like Transformers 3 and The Muppet Movie. Jeffrey has also spent the last 19 months working at Nickelodeon.
Currently Jeffrey travels between California and Florida working on many great projects including, Golden Gates, Track Pack, music videos and commercials for super car companies like Ferrari and Audi.
